Andreas Werner of Crazy Chester Records will once again participate in AmericanaFest, the Americana Music Festival and Conference, that will take place in Nashville September 11 to 16.
Music Crazy Chester Records will attend the Edmonton Folk Festival (August 9 to 12) thanks to the invitation of festival founder, Stony Plain Records president and radio personality Holger Petersen.
Muscle Shoals' The Thompson Trio recorded a jazz album on July 24 at the NuttHouse recording studio with producer Andreas Werner. The album will be out on Crazy Chester Records in time for Christmas.
Funky Chester started recording an album of instrumentals that blend jazz and rhythm & blues on July 17 and 18 at Creative Workshop in Nashville. Funky Chester is Lynn Williams (drums), Paul Ossola (bass), Harvey Thompson Jr. (keys), Doug Moffet (sax), Steve Herrman (trumpet), Charles Rose (trombone) and Andreas Werner (guitar) who also produced while Joe Funderburk engineered the sessions.
A group of songwriters from Denmark visited Muscle Shoals yesterday during a trip sponsored by the Danish Songwriters Guild. Crazy Chester's Andreas Werner took them to FAME, Muscle Shoals Sound and the NuttHouse, they ate great food and met some of the architects of the Muscle Shoals sound.
The Swamp Fest songwriters series returns to the Florence Visitor Center during Handyfest on July 20, 21, 22, 27 and 28 (shows start at 2:00 PM). This year's lineup is Angela Hacker, James LeBlanc, Donnie Fritts, Russell Mefford, Daniel Market, Mitch Mann, Pat Huggins, Mark Narmore and Lenny LeBlanc. The lineup is curated by Crazy Chester's Andreas Werner.
Crazy Chester Records will release Jacye Guerin's debut album That Was Then on August 31. The Andreas Werner produced album features performances by the Muscle Shoals Horns and members of the Swampers, the Wallflowers and Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band.
