Holger Petersen will interview David Hood and Jimmy Johnson for his radio show in front of a live audience. Petersen will also sign copies of his new book Talking Music 2 that includes interviews with many great musicians including Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham after the event.

David Hood and Jimmy Johnson are world renowned musicians. As members of the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section (also known as the Swampers) they've been recording with a who's who of artists over the last 50 years. They also founded and operated Muscle Shoals Sound recording studio and music publishing from 1969 to 1985.

Holger Petersen is a veteran Canadian broadcaster whose weekly Saturday Night Blues on CBC Radio has been a fixture on the network for twenty-five years (it's also broadcast on Sirius XM). At home in Alberta, his CKUA network show, Natch'l Blues, has been aired every week for more than forty years.
Petersen also runs his own record label, Stony Plain Records - one of Canada's longest surviving independent record companies - and was a founder of the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. He is a member of the Order of Canada and has an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from Athabasca University. He just wrote a book Talking Music 2 (Insomniac Press), where he interviewed many great musicians including BB King and Allen Toussaint and also Muscle Shoals' own Dan Penn and Spooner Oldham.

This event is hosted by Florence/Lauderdale Tourism and Crazy Chester Records.
